Queuing for the priority queue? What the?

If some pax want to que that's fine by me.
I'll still board before general boarding and I'm certain the flight won't leave without me.

I board early and sit and read. I stand up early because it is easier on my sore back and want to get HLO asap and get physically moving. As this does not impinge on your preferred action I wonder why it was raised, except to be able to do some name calling.

One of life's great mysteries to me-why people que to board a plane with pre designated seating and why they bolt like horses from a start gate as soon as the seat belt sign is turned off.

I guess people are inherently impatient and...stupid? What's the rush to get on, only to wait 30mins for the door to close, what's the rush to get stand up only to wait for the door to open, what's the rush to bolt to the baggage carousel only to wait for the bags to arrive...

Wow are you serious?

Yes there are exceptions to every circumstance, but it's not one or two people who bolt out of their chairs the millisecond he seatbelt light goes off. And if your back is so sore that you can't stand another 5 minutes sitting perhaps lots of air travel isn't suitable for you.

Point being people often conduct themselves with what I deem as futile behaviour.

Haha this is quite a thread isn't it? I have to admit i really do find it amusing how after the plane has stopped it's almost like a race start, waiting for the belt sign to go out as 99% of people literally almost decapitate themselves to rush up and grab the lockers....then stand all crammed, hunched & awkwardly looking at eachother for 5 minutes until the doors actually open. everyone still gets off the same time.

^^^exactly this. Futile behaviour and nothing more than herd mentality.

Some more posts have been edited/deleted. More of this and further action will be taken.

But it's no different to the way everyone crowds the carosel waiting for their luggage, even though you can stand back and see it coming a mile away....everyone thinks if they get their space at the front they will get theirs first. haha it's awesome watching them.

Point being just because you deem it "futile" or "stupid" does not make it so. I can appreciate it may be your opinion but many here have expressed an opinion that it is neither "futile" or "stupid".

Point being that what you call exceptional circumstance are actually irrelevant to other passengers. They are not bound by your opinions

Point being and reiterating what I said before, if it is not illegal, or is not against any regulation or airline directive, or does not infringe on common decency / civilised behaviour, it does not really matter...I'm sorry it matters to you....

Wow if a passenger has a sore back they should reconsider their volume of air travel?

I agree that most of it is futile but why does it matter.

Additionally calling it futile is a long way from deeming these passengers stupid sans "exceptional circumstances" ... as judged by you....

Well, truth be told. We're all going to die. Why bother with life at all, it must be futile (and stupid?) to not just do nothing until you die.

Was told by a Dr friend, that in spite of the billions spent on health care, the mortality rate of the human race remains stubbornly at 100%.
The futility of eating well high fibre low salt Lifestyle. The stupidity of giving lots of cash to Fitness first.....

I do concede however that Watching human behaviour at airports is amusing. I encourage passengers to keep doing what they are doing. It makes the time passes quicker

I think this thread is nearing the end of its (futile?) life...

On topic: VA flight tonight 20 deep in each lane, both processed at same speed, what's the point when you don't at least process status pax for 5 mins before the others...

A data point on the de-boarding sub-topic. after tonight's flight this was my experience:
Stood up, not exactly immediately, got to play bum-sises with the guy on the other side of the aisle as a result. moved my laptop bag from middle seat to my aisle seat, laptop bag onto shoulder, open overhead, take down main bag to my seat, look around (16 seconds), notice middle seat guy row in front is looking longingly at overhead near me, point to bag and ask "this one", he nods, I retrieve and give bag to him, 30 seconds readjusting my main bag, CSM says "see ya later", 45 seconds later I'm walking from row 5. those are literally the actions I took. I was occupied for the vast majority of the time, I might have been futilely doing nothing for about a minute (not 5). I was doing my usual limp up the aerobridge getting moving.

Was told by a Dr friend, that in spite of the billions spent on health care, the mortality rate of the human race remains stubbornly at 100%.

The leading cause of dead is birth.

I'm futilely enjoying a red now for the antioxidants.

I get a bit miffed when actual J pax have to stand behind Y pax with status. Let ALL Y pax wait 5 mins and then board the FF'ers.

Air NZ is one of the worse, in one breath they announce "We welcome Business, Koru members, Star Alliance members, Gold Members blah blah blah and economy".

I prefer to leave the lounge a bit early and be at the gate when boarding is announced. This enables me to place backpack in the overhead near my seat, but that's me. I then notice others, I have seen in the lounge, board last and be relaxed with that.

We are all different and if some want to board first and others board last then so what. The aircraft door will not be closed until we are all seated.

Relax and enjoy the flight

It's how they herd sheep. All in together even if the gate/door is narrow:shock:

Living longer will mean you can watch it all much longer?

By that time I hopefully will get LTG, but with enhancements I might yet be relegated to sit on the floor at the gate. In which case I will be grumpy instead of amused. Again Futile.....

Or LTP1 who knows ? The enhancements might mean you are teleported instead! So sitting on the floor at the gate would be futile what's the fun in that?
