Quick SC run ex-BNE?

Hi all,

I've been searching and reading and learning lots, but would love some advice.

I have until the end of the month (Sep 2012) to earn 35 more SCs to reach 2400 and get the 'additional platinum benefits'.

2 quick questions:
- wondering if there are any good ideas for a quick status run ex-BNE (either YASA/JASA or even just $$$), preferably out one afternoon and back same weeknight?
- is this worth it or am I insane? The plan is to choose the 50k points reward to go towards a trip to LHR next July (which I'd like to book shortly).

Although I qualified WP recently, and just stacked on a bunch more SCs with a recent business trip the the US, this forum is helping me realise how much more I have to learn!

A quick trip to MKY via ROK should do it, maybe $200 or so total return??

It might be worth looking at BNE-OOL to do it in Y. Otherwise, just find the cheapest and quickest JASA as that'll earn 40SC one way. (SYD?)

BNE-OOL as a JASA and then get the train back?

What about a BNE-TSV-CNS-BNE trip.

and that will give you 40SC's.

Thanks all for the tips - some good options in there. Was just looking into it but looks like I may have more work travel coming up anyway, so may not need the JASA at this stage. Leads to another question, but will make a new post!
