What is the quickest time you have taken to re qualify for VA Platinum. I am sure there are some pretty quick time frames.

With the help of family pooling, two J domestic flights MCY-MEL return in double status credits, quite a number of work trips MCY-SYD and MCY-ADL, a few other choice fare double status personal trips and a nice 100 status credit boost from AMEX for their $50k spend incentive I will requalify for VA platinum on Friday this week just 24 days into my new VA yearly cycle.

Like 4 days, its very easy to get status with VA1/2. This was pre-collapse, had an OS family pool J trip and was there in less than a week,

Gold now though as don't personally get the value out of VA2 Plat, though I know some still do.

I didn’t think you could family
Pool eligible sectors for require 8 sectors for the main account holder.

I will requalify for VA platinum on Friday this week just 24 days into my new VA yearly cycle.
I did it in 15 days last year with double SC combined with promotional earn in March last year.

One MEL-SYD-OOL, OOL-CBR-MEL trip I took earned 540 SC's. (Last week I noticed they had dropped off my account's 365 day tally :( )

What if we turn this question a little bit around: what's the least amount of flying required for requalification (regardless of the price /SC)?
I'd imagine you could do it on a single return trip with some creative routing in J and using DSC. But what would it look like?

I dropped back to SG, and with family pooling and a return BNE-SIN-IST will pass 400sc to retain SG without stepping on a VA plane. Will then have to do 4 ~ on VA metal.
