I've got two bits staked that the rebuttal will be along the lines of fate inevitable, or pessimism vs. realism.

I'll probably get this slightly wrong, but it took my fancy when I saw the original...
There are those who will say "the glass is half empty", there are those who will say "the glass is half full". The world belongs however to those who say "This is MY glass? I don't think so..My glass had more in it.. and it was a BIGGER glass!"

That would be flawed design; the customer would not need to pay for the improved glass 2.0 when released (with 50% extra capacity).Actually it has room for future growth without needing renovations or alterations.
