Think everyone knows where this pandemic started and likely reasons why. But frankly, ...really think we have more important things to get fussed about than US politics atm.

The current COVID-19 pandemic is totally independent of any politics.

I wonder if the Chinese Ambassador in Canberra will now reflect for more than a microsecond the hypocrisy of his remarks that Australia is racist because we tried to reduce imported infections.

Could you point me at your source - I can find no such remarks.

I did find this interview on Sky in which the Ambassador said :-

“We are deeply disappointed by the restrictive measures that have been taken because as I see it they are out of proportion," he said. “As you said it is inconsistent with the professional recommendations of the World Health Organisation. “We have expressed our strong wish and hope that the Australian government in its next review will take into account the whole situation and take a balanced approach and consider removing those harsh restrictions or at least relax restrictions.”

And as we know now the WHO recommendations were absolutely wrong.

The reasons why the WHO got it so wrong are well known by those that follow UN related matters.

If YOU are happy for lies and half-truths to whip up the baying mob, then good on you. But history tells us that racism and persecution feed off misinformation and exaggeration, and if fact checks make you so defensive then maybe you spend too much time doing it for Donald!
