I've been a fairly regular VA7 / VA8 BNE-LAX-BNE user for the last 3 years doing 4 ~ 6 returns each year roughly.
I can't recall the flight numbers for those services ever changing in that time.

Today I went to quickly check J pricing for my first trans-pac trip this year - I will be departing on either Saturday March 7 or Sunday March 8.
Unusually the flight number for the VA flight BNE to LAX on Saturday March 7 isn't VA7 ......its VA5 .... it depart at the usual VA7 time of 11:15. The Sunday departure and all others I have checked before and after that are all good old VA7.

Does anybody know why that would be the case as the March 7 flight appears to be the only day the number is not VA7?

It's not a big deal but I'm just wondering why the (Randon?) flight number change on that date, why would they do that?
