Unfortunately i will have to do a last minute pull out, my passport validity is less than 6 months and have just been advised by the Singapore Consulate that i shouldn't travel this time awaiting my new passport.

I know the NZ do not require 6 months validity on an Aussie passport but not sure about a Singapore passport.
Is it worth checking with NZ authorities?

Not only that, a biometric chip fault sees me being sent to the back counter everytime i encounter Australian customs. Pretty coughbersome i have to say, and my cause problem at the NZ border as well

I guess they can't do something like an express renewal and issurance?

While on this topic, it's interesting to note that SIN is one of the passports that would add unused time (up to a max of 9 months) when the passport is renewed ahead of its expiry date.

Your passport lasted 9.5 years?

Mine tend to run out of visa pages after a year or two...

SIN passports only lasts 5 years (plus the few months extra at renewal time), assuming the pages last that long.

Final update for me: Clothes purchased, flight rebooked from WLG to a direct to AKL out of SYD, QF 145 on the 5th, getting in at 1610. P1 status!

I also kindly request a guesting into the AKL QF F lounge upon departure on the 8th as my AA status has dropped to PLT/OWS from EXP/OWE (those USA credit card offers aren't all they're cracked up to be...). Thanks in advance .
