Made it to the Holiday Inn Airport, it's a suite, biggest I ever had at this place, tomorrow night in the city at the Crowne Plaza.

It was packed in Economy, 737 in row 6 are so tight pitch

We didn't get our 'normal' Bow Suite upgrade :!: :evil:

My profile says high floor away from lifts. we got 3rd floor near the lifts.

My profile says similarly but I received second floor nearish to the lifts. That said, did get the harbour view at least and an upgrade from the basic room. The suites have been sold out for quite some time, must have something to do with the cricket match this afternoon over at Eden Park.

Tomorrow is Round The Bays in Auckland which attracts close to 70,000 people. Might explain the limited accommodation available.

Definitely looking for pictures as well. Sorry to not be there.

But worked out for the best, given I can barely eat today after the appointment with the orthodontist yesterday. Birthday lunch will be interesting. And daughter's birthday BBQ tomorrow will be even more better.

I caught up with straitman, Aoleus, dfcatch (and Sue Oz briefly).

I have met with Euro and viewed the private dining room. The booking is in the name of 'Jessica'. They will be setting for 16, so there is no room for any extras. We are officially "FULL".

I got some answers to some pressing questions:

Do they split bills? Yes
Do they do individual bar tabs? Yes
Do they take Amex? Yes
Is Amex surcharge-free? Yes

The $99 meal cost can be added to your tab when it comes time to pay.

Meet at Euro at 7pm for a 7.30 start.

Meet at the Hilton lobby bar 'Bellini' at 6pm for an earlier start if you wish. The Hilton does not have an exec lounge for those who are wondering.
