I don't remember seeing this before, but correct me if I'm wrong

Undoubtedly would make life easier when searching for premium seats

Can't recall noticing such a "cabin" filter before.

I wish there was a simple way to eliminate Classic+ from display.
Then how would they filter people toward those seats? Seriously, I hate doing the search with class selected, the calendar shows dates available, then you select that date and go to the selector page and it’s only Classic plus. The search function is such a pain to deal with.

That's how i noticed, originally picked dates from the calendar with biz available, when i got to the flight selection screen, there was a message saying 'business not available we've updated filter for available fare classes' (paraphrasing)

It's like the worst block sliding puzzle ever made.

Not too sure if this is related to the app update or if it has always been a thing: but my upcoming Malaysia Airlines and British Airlines flights appear in the app under "Trips".
The reverse does not occur within the BA or MH apps.

Interestingly my upcoming China Eastern flights does not appear in the app (Assume the app pulls only Oneworld alliance airlines), nor do my Jetstar flights that have my QF number linked.

To clarify, were these flights booked via Qantas, or direct with the other airlines themselves?

The cabin drop down is on the desktop website too. I don’t like it, I nearly missed it. It used to have big red buttons to select other cabins.

The default seems to be economy for some reason.

In any case, it’s a bit of a nuisance with trying to put together a OWA (318K). Lots of flight options to check and the extra step of getting out of the economy default setting every time. 🤔

This has always been the case, for BA it goes back to the JV.

I’m guessing QF doesn’t show up on the BA app if you don’t have BAEC number on the booking. You can however view it on MMB using the QF PNR. I do this all the time, it’s a good way to get the AA record locator.

JQ has never shown in the app unless booked by a TA. I’ve even had VA flights show up if booked by a TA with a QF flight on the same booking.

JQ shows in the app if booked by a TA

This includes a DIRECT booking Orf the QF Website where QF are acting as YOUR TA

Any flight booked on the QF website (including all awards) will show. For that reason.

I should have mentioned this - these flights were booked directly with the other airlines and are not ticketed as QF flights (They are BA and MH flights). The only link to Qantas is when I put in my Qantas frequent flyer number.

I am not a member of British Airways Executive Club, so that will explain why my other Oneworld flights are not showing in the BA app.

This is going off topic a little but I did test out viewing my Malaysia airlines flight on the BA website (desktop) as well as viewing my BA flights on the Malaysa airlines website using the booking references and last name, and was able to view details of the respective flights! Making changes such as seat selection etc was not available.
It seems that the common denominator here is the Oneworld alliance.
