Recognition Upgrade Question

Hi All

Got a job so been posting (and travelling!) less. Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question - I have 2 recognition upgrades and my status expires July. I want to use them for a flight in November. If I book and request the upgrade now, will it be ok? Or will it not happen because I will no longer be that status.

FYI - I'm currently Gold Elite so it will clear at the time I request - supposedly, as opposed to a few days before.

You can indeed use RU for a flight scheduled after the RU expiry. Note that should the requests not be granted, the RU's will not be re-credited as they would have otherwise expired in July.

As a gold Elite (now just "Elite"), your recognition upgrades will be granted at the time of request IF there is the correct class available at that time. This is R class for Business and A class for Premium Economy.

You can see A class availability on Expert Flyer or KVS before booking. For R class you now need to call and ask if there is availability.
