Interesting Platinum Edge is $149 pa w' free domestic flt pa. If I want to go CBR-HBT-CBR in mid winter it's about $450 ret.

If I get a Plat Edge it's $149. Seems reasonable.

Thanks Prozac and for PM (I was writing this at the time). I have to work out if I want/will be allowed to get yet another card esp since yesterday I applied for a WooliesEDR CC. In looking at Plat Edge, does it include QF flts as it did not say QF on their website?

Is it really just $149 pa! ? I'll keep mulling and get back to you. I may be over my limit, although I plan on cancelling my useless Commbank M/C tomorrow.

Even better, get the points for the referral in the first year, then find out if your professional association (if any) offers the card too. Then it's only $99 a year!

All points go to Qantas ff. Cost you more points to book a flight with Qantas than on some other airlines.
Still $89 pa, but for another $60 with Amex Plat Ede you get the free flight each year.

Thanks Prozac makes v good points. Free flight can be attract depending on routing. I would imagine HBT based people would find it very useful too. I may phone AMEX and ask about what they put a person on when taking the free flt.
