Interesting Platinum Edge is $149 pa w' free domestic flt pa. If I want to go CBR-HBT-CBR in mid winter it's about $450 ret.

If I get a Plat Edge it's $149. Seems reasonable.

hmm lol apparently i cant send pms until i have 15 posts.
ive used the profile --> view conversations to try and communicate. but not too sure if it works.
i dont feel like spamming to 15, just so i can pm :S

Dan, you just need to respond to this post and maybe a couple on other threads and you will get your minimum up. Maybe Nick can pm you.

the reason i ask is that an acquaintance of mine offered me a link already. However, I am interested in providing essentially 5k mr points (~$50) to a reliable and trustworthy person. :)

Dan, the referrer will receive 10k points from Amex. Wait for Nick to pm you and you are both in business. ;)

Thanks Prozac and for PM (I was writing this at the time). I have to work out if I want/will be allowed to get yet another card esp since yesterday I applied for a WooliesEDR CC. In looking at Plat Edge, does it include QF flts as it did not say QF on their website?

Is it really just $149 pa! ? I'll keep mulling and get back to you. I may be over my limit, although I plan on cancelling my useless Commbank M/C tomorrow.

Even better, get the points for the referral in the first year, then find out if your professional association (if any) offers the card too. Then it's only $99 a year!

lol @ get me outta here.
im thinking of cancelling my cba mc/amex and applying for woolies' edr cc too. :)

thx, get me outta here :)
will probably apply to that after my plat edge.

thx to cynicor too! pleasure doing business with you. will let you know when i get my points so that you can check yours before sending me the $50 :)

@get me outta here
u are a research god :) too bad, i didnt find that link earlier haha.

wow 60 second approval...
thats really quick :S

"Thank you for applying for the Platinum Edge Credit Card. We are pleased to advise that your application has been approved.
Your Card will arrive in the post within the next 5 to 7 working days, along with a Welcome Pack to remind you of all the benefits that come with your Card, and with being an American Express Cardmember. We'll also tell you how to activate your Card so you can begin using it straight away."

Well I have to say Dan90 I'm pretty pissed off with you.. If you are going to make an offer to someone (ie your PM to me), stick to your word. Don't offer it and the give it to someone else.

hi nick,

i am very sorry you feel this way, and as i told you in pm before, i apologise for any inconvenience caused.
in my defence, i was not sure whether you were brushing me off by being online and not responding to any of my pms / conversation things or whether you had genuinely not received my pms etc. And cynicor was very helpful.

regards,

dan
