Hi All,

The last year or so i have been accumulating points with Virgin. I got 100k sign up bonus from the Amex Virgin Platinum last year and i cancelled that card appx 5 months ago just before the anniversary date. I use the NAB Premium Amex as my daily card and have close to 300k points now in just over a year and a half. I am looking at signing up to the Amex Explorer card for the 100k bonus as soon as i can figure out how i can get those points as an existing amex member.

The question is im going to get my partner to get on the initial points sign up bonus - and then have her cancel the card once the points (appx 75-100k virgin FF) have been issued. Can anyone recommend a card that has a good sign up bonus as her salary is only 50k and may not meet some thresholds.

Please let me know if any further info is required to help determine the best card.

Bill have a look at Citibank to see if there is one that suits your spending.

Apologies cove,

I forget to mention the most important part, we only want the credit card for the sign up bonus points, aiming for 100k virgin points or as close as possible.

Once points are credited we will then cancel shortly thereafter.

Ok cancel your current Amex Velocity and then re-apply. I know two who have done this in 2016.

as per the second paragraph, the card is not for me, its for my GF - so wanted to ask who people think are offering the best sign up points bonus.

But they require a minimum gross income of 65k dont they? Where as my GF is only earning 50k.

Apply anyway. Depending on the rest of your situation they might still give it to her. I have applied for cards that has an income requirement $20,000 above my salary but was still approved. Probably because we have assets and great credit score.
