Great to be able to answer a question for YOU, Mr. H!
To answer your question I think it is only about a month after you have paid your bill.

If you are recommending I think the points showing up are much longer (- - about 2 months?) although in my experience I had to chase them down for months and months, getting the run around for two referrals I made last year. Hopefully, that was just an anomaly because the manager of the points system is an obscure offshore company who it was impossible to communicate with!

Red Energy referral 1500 bonus points came through about 5 weeks after sign up - my referring brother got his gift card same day - not a points chaser!

20,000 points for electricity after about 2 weeks after sign up and 10,000 for gas about 4 weeks. (Victoria special double points promo ended 9 Jan)

Still waiting on green leaf but in T&C's, stated up to 45 days after first bill paid, I calculated that to be end of Feb.

I did join via phone not website @Mr H in late November '23.

Hi Friends,
Any referral offers currently on offer for Red Energy?
Please post below

Here is mine!
The code is 7107625. It would be great to refer someone. The one thing I would always recommend is that you do check you are on the best plan for you.
Thank you!
You're quite right to check. I just checked their rates, and even with the referral bonus it's cheaper for me to stay with AGL... who don't currently have a referral bonus :(

I might reconsider if RedEnergy bring back a $50 or $100 bonus.

Yeah - its a tough call. The way I always look at it is whether the cost difference is worth it. Fun fact with all these concessions the govt is throwing around (in NSW) you still get the points for the bill which is costing significantly less. If someone is on a concession of some sort it can change the playing field.

The other thing is what the feed in rate is for the two services....

It's definitely $50 or 3500 Qantas points until 31/May/2024.

Your link and @Mr_Orange 's link are both showing $25 / 1500 for me. Have tried to Superloop and Telstra connections, incognito, etc.

Possibly geo-targeted - what state are you in?

* Available to residential customers in eligible areas of VIC, SA, NSW, QLD and ACT. We're both in QLD. That referral link was generated from my account. I have email from April 2024 and at the bottom of the email is showing what you posted but the body of the email has totally different offer. I'd go with $50 or 3500 Qantas points.

Strange. I'm in QLD and when I logged in to obtain my link, it clearly stated $50 or 3500 points.

Someone has used my referral - thank you - and despite what the referral link actually said, I have been awarded a choice of 3500 QF pesos or a $50 gift card.
