Red Roo Appreciation Thread

We don't know anything about the person behind the Red Roo account, or whether it's even the same person from one day to the next.

Those that haven't been to a QF or AFF function certainly don't know anything. But there are those of us that do as we've had the pleasure of engaging personally with Red Roo. We found out quite a number of similarities in our experiences, people we know etc. it can be a small world...

A bit late in joining the bandwagon of grateful people but better late than never I guess. Red Roo, thanks for your prompt responses to my PMs throughout the year. Qantas' effort to connect with their loyal passengers via a non affiliated site is truly unique and greatly appreciated. I haven't met a Red Roo yet but aim to meet one (or a few!) this year (fingers crossed). Also, I just noticed that QF has opened up the lower deck seats to WP on A380s to/back HKG way before T-80 which is a great move to retain happy and loyal customers, so well done! :D

I'll put my hand up. A year ago Red Roo was proactive and intervened in the circumstance of an original routing credit issue. Totally unexpected but a great example of corporate outreach which was resolved expeditiously. Truth be told Red Roo requested I be credited Jetstar star class to compensate me. It was 10SC above my actual earn and I would've hit WP. I inadvertently scuttled that through my inpatients. Lesson learnt

Slightly off topic, but i don't recall seeing any other airlines, hotels helping their clients in this forum, IMO this has to be a positive for QF customer service.

There is a VA/Velocity rep. A role that has been active in the past but is in a bit of a down period at the moment.

Just noticed that someone called KVS has given some useful advice. Might be a rep. There is an expertflyer presence who've helped me.

We have had the pleasure of meeting Red Roo in Melbourne and were able to thank personally for helping with a problem with status credits posting while we were travelling.

I am am sure a lot of people on this forum appreciate all the work that Red Roo does to help us enjoy flying with Qantas !!!
We certainly do !!!

Thanks Red Roo for your assistance with the bonus points issue. Return flights a few weeks ago posted automatically.

Your assistance on AFF is greatly appreciated and when you are not able to help it is not because you don't want to help but Qantas is not interesting in helping.

I'd like to extend my thanks to the previous iteration of Red Roo and look forward to catching up with them on my next trip to SYD...
