Redemption on HA

I now have plenty of velocity points thanks to sign up bonuses of late and would love to book a coveted HA flight in Business Class with my Kids (four seats). I called Velocity this morning and did a search in April 2023 to find only two economy seats for the entire month! I felt motivated after hearing of Peter Friar's success in the recent podcast but I'm starting to lose hope of achieving the same. Do anyone have any advice / recommendations? Is it worth waiting until there are more HA services to Australia? Brisbane, etc. I have alerts set up on Expert Flyer but am not holding my breath.

Keep looking over the next few months - Hawaiian tends to release J seats in batches, and often only 6-9 months out from departure. They might not have released any seats for April 2023 yet.

Having Expert Flyer alerts for D class availability on a variety of SYD-HNL and AKL-HNL flights is a good idea.

I did get 3 rewards seats in J with Velocity points on HA mid 2019 for March 2020 flight, returned when sheet hit the fan.
I never saw 4 & rare to find 3xJ, but possible.
I had to call Velocity to get them as remember looking on AA site to see them. Easy process.

Hawaiian recently released a small number of business reward seats on SYD-HNL for travel next February/March. E.g. there are 2 seats on SYD-HNL on 14 March 2023.
