I'm having a tough time finding availability for award redemption in business class from Doha to Europe between June 6 and 9, 2025. Does anyone know why there's no availability to any European destination during this specific period, but it seems to open up right after? Is there something significant happening around that time that could explain why everyone seems to be booking then?

Well I am able to book any day via VA or AA at the 330 day out mark. so i presume most around that time have already gone. june is now busy throughout europe.Probably only random dates left.
message sent.

Is this a good redemption offer on Qatar ?

Sydney to Doha - First class
doha to Athens - Business class

Total : 127k avios plus $520 in taxes

Is DOH-ATH on a widebody?

If I had plenty of Avios and the dates matched my plans, I would probably jump at that. (To compare, AU<>EU in QR J is I think 90k Avios.)

next question
1) noting I’m travelling in redemption booking , can I use the first class Qantas lounge in Sydney ?

2) can I use the Al safwa lounge in Doha , noting my connecting flight will be in business class

Others can feel free to correct me, but I think:

1. Yes, you ought to be able to, provided on a QR flight number and (if bought with Avios) presumably purchased from a Oneworld airline, although Qantas is not above jerking Qatar passengers around.

2. Yes, a long-haul inbound in F with an onward J should get you into Al-Safwa, barring any restricted business buckets (which shouldn't apply to an award, I don't think). Make sure you keep your inbound F boarding pass.

Thanks you !!!!

I assume you can also use the Qantas first class lounge in Sydney too ?

If anyone has RECENTLY used the Al safwa lounge under similar circumstances like mine , please confirm ?
Pretty sure @RooFlyer has though not sure it was a redemption
It is an accepted rule with QR that F inbound or outbound qualifies for Al-Safwa
