Hi all

I am wondering if this situation would work at all....

Recently I was told that I can't travel to USA by my intended travel date (another story altogether), so being a United Airlines flight I am in a bit of bother. I bough a non-refundable fare. So really, it looks as though I am stuck with approximately $1,700 travel voucher for United Airlines that I may not be able to use.

WHAT IF then I purchase a refundable fare (I realise this will cost more) using the credit, plus a bit more cash - and then a week later, apply to get this fare back? The full amount??

Does anyone know if that would work???

Cheers

When there is a fare change to a different type, the more restrictive conditions apply of both fares, so it's unlikely to help.
