Hi there,

With the news of Sydney business lounge slated to be renovated early next year, which would most likely cause the lounge to be shut for a period of time.

I’m wanting to know your thoughts on where passengers will be diverted to?

The plan is to keep the J lounge open but progressively refurb and expand it.
Thanks for the link. I must of missed the ‘hoarded off’ part of the article when I first read it.

I have a flight early next year in J from SYD with no F cabin and I’m lifetime bronze. Might need to kindly ask people for F lounge passes or hope someone can guest me in 😅.

Seeing that MEL remains in the dungeon, hopefully they at least do very good light design there. I find most indoors / enclosed lounges are pretty dimly lit for most parts. The lack of natural light should really be compensated with a zone or two of good, brighter lighting (and then a zone or two of dim and quiet for those who want to rest).

Essentially, this could lead into an easy matrix: one bright zone with sounds allowed, one bright & quiet focus zone, one dim but sounds ok (e.g. conversation), and one dim & quiet for resting.

That's just QF's way of incentivizing MEL based travellers to reach for Platinum 😂

Imagine the sheer horror of these passengers being redirected to the Flounge! 😱

A sheer horror I would benefit from. Payed J on flights with no F should have a cost option to enter F lounge.
