On my way now, driving down the north west ring road. c u soon.

As I SMSed straitman, I will unfortunately be a scratching today.

Hope it was good.

It was good, both food and company. Hope I can make it next month.

I agree , great food & great company.

Not to mention excellent "stimulating" conversation had! :p

Yes, great food and company and not to mention the stimulating conversation.

Should we "ask the pilot" about his regular stimulator checks???

Thank you to the small, dedicated crew who turned up today. Great food at a good price. I believe we all had a great time and have set the food standard for future events.

Now who is going to organise next months lunch :?: We are already out for the first and fourth weekends but will try to be there if it is the second, third or fifth.

It was great to meet everyone today, hope to see you all again next time for some more stimulating conversations :)

Pity I don't like Yum Cha, as I enjoy the company of fellow AFFers. I'll do yum chas if there are Chinese people present who have some reasonable idea what they are ordering, but even then it is borderline. Not being a dumpling fan does not help. That said, I love Asian food, be it Chinese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, or Burmese. It's mainly just the dumpling element that deters me, as it seems to comprise so much of a yum cha. I reckon they (especially at a gwei lo only table) find a 'yes' man and offer the most ridiculous items, knowing they will be accepted, indeed ordered multiple times. "Flaming hogs balls sir?" "Yes". Two serves sir?" "Yes".

But for those that enjoy, great to see, and I hope I'll catch you all at some other function/s.

Sounds like those who attended had a good time. Hopefully I should be able to make next months event.

We can't do the 3rd weekend as we will be in HKG but all of the others will be fine. Looking forward to the next one.

The first Sunday (2nd) is too soon (being in six days), the second (9th) is on the Labour Day Weekend, I am out for the third (16th), fourth (23rd) and only the fifth possible (30th).
