When I first started work in 1968 at an insurance company in Sydney the computer took up the whole floor of the building, it was a sealed air conditioned floor that mere mortals could not enter. Data processing on to cards took up several floors !
Doom taught me more about networking computers than 10 years on the job did.
My first computer was the C64 with the 1541 floppy drive. And if anyone remembers the summer and Winter Olympics games got a huge workout in our family.
I also got a loan from the local credit union for my first PC a 386 with a 20mb HDD. Cost about 2k.
Life was much simpler back then.
