HI there,

Past 5 years been using Eurocar.
Pickup and drop off Melb Airport
Book online, as business rates, small Auto 4\5 door, Not paid for excess exclusion.
Yes have Privilege program.(get the Velocity points)
They know them by name on pickup....upgraded most times.
Had two damage issues...first $3200 second told will be $1600(police followup in progess, car park)

Is there a number or contact to get service(must have car available) with another mob?
Pricewise better option for same conditions and ease of use?

Previous reviews found to be same conditions and price?

Regards

Are you asking for recommendations on car hire outlets in Melb? They are all easy to access, pricing will vary.

I now use Avis after a few issues with Hertz.

YMMV.

I gave a thorough background of current use and issues.
Basically is there a better deal than currently have?
What is it?

Are you referring to rate? Or service levels? Or something else/mix?

Is there a number or contact to get service(must have car available) with another mob?
;

Yes they are all there and available by phone. Are you looking specifically for a discount number?

yes if want to drive out with car, agree it must be available

Pricewise better option for same conditions and ease of use?

Not sure of your current conditions and ease of use? All renters have walk up and drive away options.

Excess - what are your expectations? You need to review each contract individually.

Do you work for a corporate, they usually have pre-agreed deals and you can use their CDP arrangements>

Previous reviews found to be same conditions and price?

Does someone have a number or email to a CONTACT that is senior(or AGENT\Broker) in Budget/Avis/Hertz that can get Business(ABN number, small business) deals?
ie. that are better than specials and public access.

Do not want to be offered something, book it online and then walk up to counter at Airport and be informed that car not available if try another Hire Company.
Experience and reviews have shown that "it must be available" does not always happen.

As stated book car online, provide "Privilege" rewards number and type of car required and time required clearly stated in opening.

No excess reduction requested and the resulting EXCESS have paid after accident.
This may impact on changing HIRE car Company in future if EXCESS is more expensive.

Small business(No CORP)

My own investigations last year could not find better on comparison than what already receiving....hence the question to others to let me know if they exist for the USE I have clearly documented in TITLE and first post.

Please provide links if possible with info requested.

Regards

Is this a standard charge for AIRPORT to AIRPORT on Business account?
Should I attempt 14 day hire and potentially get a cheaper rate?

Does Hertz, Budget, Avis offer a better deal?

Useless mob out of hours.
Just rang to check what Privilege status they are?
Informed cannot see\access info out of hours.
They are on Corporate rate.
Does this give Privilege Credits for car hire?

Well I rang last night.
Informed that Customer service needs to answer questions and only open business hours.
Rang this morning and got put through to Customer Service that handballed me to Privilege person.....NICOLA not in office and message left.(sickie long weekend...I wonder) Supposedly the only person to deal with WTF?
No response in 2 hrs so rang back and got a Customer officer that confirmed I needed to speak to Nicola and would send email to ask her to contact me.
Also said that Corp account is eligible for Special Business CONTRACT discount and will ask Business person to get in touch to discuss as use Car Hire service so much.
That was 1hr ago...no contact yet?

Frank from Business account finally following up Corp rate.
Seems we don't have the ID number he needs?
Gave him what we use to book fortnightly online....keep you posted with outcome.......

Edit: Gone from 10% off BEST daily rate to rate to 15% of Best daily rate and appointed an account manager.
Can some let me know what they are receiving please?
Am I getting a good deal or is Hertz, Budget or Avis offer better?

Alright so the latest installment is......
It took 7+ phone call and probably 10 emails....over a week.
Phone calls, they only returned once and email became their form of response.
Finally got recognised Elite Status, but discovered Free Weekends is only 3 times a year and for 3day car hire WTF.
They appointed account manager who is on holidays until mid Feb WTF????
Only one person in the company can deal with Privilege program WTF?????

First booking with new 15% and Elite Status this week let you know if all goes smoothly.

Highly entertaining thread!! Max DYKWIA attitude. Complete lack of pronouns. Non-sensical queries. Bizarre RANDOM capitalisation. Love it!!! Keep the stories coming dude!

And yet with your back compliments and hire care activity(in tag) you are still not able to provide any input the original post.......

So the latest is that I look on the Europcar website and it says EVERYBODY get 15% off for 5+ car hire......so whats the Corp Advantage?
BUT the latest booking for 10 days for only $387....like 1/2 price the normal booking?????????????????????

You've possibly just answered your own rambling question: They're not offering you anything much better than what's publicly available except to those who reach the slightly higher tier of their loyalty program.

Reason being? At six rentals a year you're a relatively small fish in a very very big pond. It seems very odd that it sounds as though you want your own 24/7 go to person to roll out the red carpet every time you call to make a booking. Why not just use the website??? Surely it's quicker and easier?

For perspective: my employer has a 6 figure per annum car rental spend so Avis came knocking with a commensurate corporate deal. We get a fixed rate on all classes of vehicle. At low demand times, our rate is fairly similar to best publicly available (i.e. Avis have a base rate below which it's not profitable for them to rent vehicles - even to big clients). But at high demand times our rate stays the same while public rates shoot up 3 or even 4-fold. Excess is automatically reduced to a very reasonable amount also. My Avis Preferred account has the corporate AWD number linked to it so rentals, pickups and returns are hassle free and upgrades are pretty much par for the course.

To put it another way, I'm a QF PS. I don't waste my time hectoring the airline to let me into the the QP or J Lounge when my annual spend on Qantas clearly isn't enough to merit it.

I have rented for close to 150 days with Hertz this past year (365 days), they don't really care about me and I don't expect them too!

The difference between Individual (150 days/year rental) and Corporate (1000s of days worth of rentals/year).

I think the OP may be expecting a little much with the total volume of rental achieved per year....
