Is your card due to expire ?
I haven't had a new one in 2 years. Last one as a Silver (now back to Bronze) expired in Sep 2020 with the mastercard part expiring Jan 21. Not something I thought about until a few weeks ago

Yes got my latest P1 card end of June.
Checking the prior card it did not have a QTMC logo.
That could very well be the case. And indeed when I went followed the link to activate a card I was pointed to the My Profile section of QFF with the only relevant link being to request a membership card (which was what I just received)
That may very well be the case, although the inclusion of a mag stripe on the back and barcode leads me to believe that maybe the functionality is still there. Then again that mag stripe might be for OneWorld kiosks (i.e. BA or AA) that let you swipe in to check in.
Having visited the QF Money site today, I get the feeling that's not the case. They've got a number of credit cards and are even running promotions for their debit card.
Magstripe is still allowable in most countries for a few reasons. First, not every US bank has issued chip n' sign cards yet and given the number of American travellers out there, you would want to have an option. Second, EMV chips can and do fail so you need a reliable backup. As much as we may hate mag stripe, they seem to be a bit more durable than those EMV chips.
I try and use Apple Pay for everything since it is more secure than any card I hold since the device generates a one time use code for each purchase making card cloning next to impossible.

Did you try submitting the request via the My Profile section of the QF website? That's what I did after contacting QFF several times over the phone requesting a card with zero success. And yes I'm still bitter about not receiving a new member pack for QFF Gold (including the highly coveted Gold Q Tags)Still waiting for mine from October. I confirmed on the phone that my address is correct, and I'm receiving other letters/parcels no problem. Maybe something's desynced in their system and these are going out with the wrong address?
Yeah I'm after bag tags too, which I can't request online.
Can these be requested over the phone by any chance? Then again, I'm not in a huge rush given I'm planning on earning QF World Platinum soon and look forward to receiving those black bag tags.

That's a distinct possibility too. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Worst case scenario I'll pop into a Qantas J lounge and ask the attendant, "do you know who I am? No seriously do you know who I am? Normally my name is printed on a Q Tag but Qantas never sent me one. The joke here being that on AFF everyone refers to vanilla Qantas Platinum as being Qantas WP, which per the glossary doesn't have a family friendly connotation. Hence, I traded that lewd nickname for one a bit more charitable: World Platinum! And when you think about it, you really need to travel the world to get that status! After all, those 1400 status credits can't be attained merely by visiting HBAI really want to know what QF World Platinum is. Reminds me of the NW WorldPerks program
