Can anyone assist with the current requirements to board a Singapore Airlines flight from an Australian airport.
Have heard of passengers turned away not having the correct paper work?

We are passing though Singapore Changi in transit.
What is the current situation?

Thx

We flew last week to Thailand via Singapore from Melbourne, check-in on the Singapore app needed to upload vaccination certificate. When at the airport at the counter dropping off luggage they also asked to see the certificates for each passenger.
Arriving in Singapore in transit no checks done unless you plan to go out into the city in which case you will need to complete a Singapore entry form no more than 3 days prior to arriving. The amount of people getting turned away when going through immigration was ridiculous, there is clear signs that say either paper form or digital needs to be presented.

I wasn't aware there is a paper form - is it merely a printout of the online submission or is it available at the counters?

I thought the online submission was the only option as well , but going down the escalators towards immigration they had the paper forms as an option in the usual location on the left for people to complete.(For the people who had not done the digital online form or paper one they were taken over there to complete the form then made to join the back on the line to go through immigration. The line already took over 30mins to get through as they were super slow to process. They now take digital photo, fingerprints etc so this seemed to slow the whole process.

I imagine these would be the forms they have always had and used prior to the digital online ones.

Thank you for the info.
We are on the way to Vietnam, so will only be in transit in Singapore.
To confirm, it seems we will need to upload our "AU Covid-19 digital certificate" when we do the on-line check-in? Is that correct?
Many thanks.

May I confirm that as we are only in transit in Singapore, we will need to upload our "AU Covid-19 Digital Certificate" when we do the on-line check-in with Singapore Air?

So wish they would make things more clearer....
Thanks again

Yes during the check-in there will be the option when entering passenger information to upload the digital certificate. I would do this on a PC as for some reason in the app it came up with an error. When we got to the airport they wanted to see a copy of the vaccination certificate anyway.(i had the digital copy from the mygov which they accepted) so keep that handy also.

if you are checked in all the way through to Vietnam and same on the way back you wont need to complete the Singapore entry form however if you are on 2 separate tickets where you need to collect your luggage between flights you may need to as you will be passing immigration to collect bags to then check in to the next flight.

Does this also apply to BKK-SIN-BNE?

I've got vaccination certificate. Don't want to use online check-in. Don't have a digital certificate.

Off the top of my head you could tick a box to say you had a physical copy. If your not going to check-in online though and doing at the counter, I would imagine print out of certificate would be fine.

just came from 1wk in singapore (20/9-27/9)

at check-in in Sydney we just showed our vax status. my wife had a print out from mygov/medicare and I had it on the google wallet app on my phone. no issues. we didnt do online checkin at all

also did the singapore arrival online (ICA SG arrival card) formality before we left SYD and it was all smooth, they didnt want to see anything else.

In late August I went to Germany via a transit in Singapore and nothing was checked at all at check-in in SYD.

BNE Saturday night and check in staff just checked our International vax certificate. Either hard copy or screenshot on phone was fine. As we were heading to Vietnam they also needed to see our Vietnam visas

Has anyone used OLCI / self check-in kiosks at PER when heading to Vietnam on SQ? Or do you need to present your VN Visa at the check-in counters?
Basically I'm wondering if you can get airside earlier than the PER check-in counters open (3hrs before departure). [Why would I want to do so? I have my reasons... 😊]

Last weekend at BNE we absolutely had to show Vietnam visa at check in and staff typed in the data

Getting absolutely sloshed at the PER SKL?
Hahaha. Well, look, I'm not saying that is not one of the possible reasons. Actually more about my getting to the airport logistics (boring story) but also I thought I could use PP to check out the Aspire Lounge, which looks pretty nice, but apparently shuts at 2230 the evening I am traveling. Since I'm on the 0110, if I have to wait for counters to open at 2210, I'd arrive at Aspire just as they were closing, best case scenario.
