Hi,

I recently was booked Business class Perth to Dublin with mixed airlines: PER-KL (MH), KL- IST (TK) and IST-DUB (TK). I credited my miles to TK (Turkish Airlines), sacrificing the first leg for the other two.

However first flight was delayed and Malaysia Airlines rerouted us to KL- LHR and LHR- DUB on their own flights. However the TK FFN remained on the resissued boarding passes and no miles were credited of course as they are not partners.

Had I been booking Malaysian in the first place I would have credited the miles to Qatar.

Should this now be possible, and is it Malysia Airlines that should do this for me?

You should claim them through
Qatar

I only ended up getting the miles credited to Qatar for the PER-KL leg in the end. Does this sound correct? Should I not be entitled to either the rest of the Avios through the rerouted flight, or if not then Turkish Miles for the original flight booked even though I didn't fly with them in the end?
