I'm a bit confused about the reset of status nights.

I'm an Accor Plus member via Amex, currently Gold valid until 31 Mar 24. (My first year in the program.)

I'm planning my stays to see if it's possible to obtain platinum by that date. The Accor website says :

"To move to Accor Plus Platinum status

Achieve one of the following goals before 31/03/2024

38/60 nights. You are missing 22 nights"

I can meet the status nights goal by then but NOT if they reset to zero at 1 Jan.

So, will my status nights reset to zero at 1 Jan? If so, shouldn't the website wording by "Achieve one of the following goals before 31 Dec 2023"?

When you renew your Accor Plus on 2024, they will re-evaluate you status based on the following:
- The previous calendar year : 1-Jan-2023 to 31-Dec-2023
- your previous Accor Plus membership 12 months prior ( in your case : 1-Apr-2023 - 31-Mar-2024 )

and you will get the higher of these 2.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I recall reading this somewhere but couldn't find it today.

So ... When I achieved Gold it was within one calendar year so I was upgraded to Gold immediately.

When I achieve enough stays for Platinum it will be split over 2 calendar years but within 1 membership year so I expect I will not be upgraded immediately but on renewal of my Plus membership (31 Mar 24) and will be valid until 31 Mar 25.

Subsequently I expect to maintain Platinum in the calendar year 24 which will then see me Platinum until 31 Mar 25.

Hopefully this all works out. Many thanks.
