Retro Claim - How long do I have to wait?

Well I am still waiting for my retro claim for missing Etihad flights taken in the middle of March and a claim lodged with Velocity in early April, which they didn't lodge with Etihad until the end of April, as as of a phone call this morning there is still no news from Velocity, but she did say she would send a follow up email to them if I wanted her to, well obviously I wouldn't be ringing if I wasn't interested in getting the points.

So I would say no it hasn't improved.

Outward flights to the UK posted within about 2 weeks, return still waiting on them.

I'm still waiting on a claim from last Nov and a response from the online enq system and also waiting for further flights taken 13th May.

Should I lodge a complaint????

I'm also concerned that my trip next week will take weeks to update as I will earn Gold and won't be able to use the benefits until well after i return.

ps: come to think of it I should of followed my retro claim back in 2007 I asked for as I never received a reply back then and never followed it up......

Guys, I didn't want to create a new thread so thought I'd ask first.

I made a booking for my partner many months ago, she flew the booking last weekend, a BNE-MEL J fare, 60SCs. However I somehow missed adding her velocity number and therefore her points have not pooled to me.

Is there anything I can do now? or is it too late?

Cheers

I'd assume, but don't have first hand evidence, that as long as she was set up to pool to you, if you did a retro claim for her it should come through and pool to you?
If its a VA flight on VA metal then you'd think it wouldn't be too bad in terms of time to come through etc?

My recent strategy was to just keep logging claims. I logged about six for the same hotel, they seem to get the message when I did three claims in the space of 10 minutes.

On a related note, does anyone have any experience as to how long it takes for a retro claim with Hawaiian airlines? Longer than the stated 6 weeks? I'm travelling overseas soon and wouldn't mind having the added benefits!

I'm still waiting on a claim booked as VA codeshare on HA metal.
Travel was 09-Sept-2012; was assured both prior to travelling and again at check-in that Velocity number was attached to the booking; I waited the stated 14 days - no points.
Submitted a retro claim via email - [email protected] as per website instructions. Waited the 6 weeks; still nothing.
Called to check up; no trace of any retro claim on my account, was then told to email [email protected] as "this is the email address you should have used in the first place".....if that's the case well the website needs to be updated!

Now 3 months down the track, still no points. About to call again to see where it's up to!

I have just been told that they can't credit the points as Hawaiian air cannot find my flight details!!! I've provided the booking code and boarding passes...what could be the problem??

Insist on speaking to a manager and state in very clear, simple language that this isn't on and that you'd like an escalation / investigation. Ask them to call you back for an update, and if they don't, make sure you follow them up. You might need to call back once or twice but if you have the evidence, in the end they'll typically just do it out of good will if there's an actual system stuffup.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks - will give that a try. Have spoken to the call centre three times already since this first all started, but I'll be sure to speak to a supervisor next.
