Return of Wifi on Virgin Australia

Might be common knowledge to others, but I just noticed the flight status page actually shows if a plane has wifi enabled or not.
Page has shown in since 2017 however as mentioned above it simply shows the aircraft is fitted with the wifi equipment and doesn’t mean it’s operational. The Qantas app on the other hand I’ve seen the wifi message disappear from the app even though the aircraft is fitted but when that aircraft has been flagged as wifi not operational.

Latest list, from a friend who works at VA. A number are a bit flacky apparently given it not working for so long during Covid.

VUO (-700) ... I hope to update this shortly in the air to say it works... :)
VUO is an -800 (or at least it was a few weeks ago :p) and it was working then (8 June). Fingers crossed for you that it still is. The staff reckoned it was broken, however, but it functioned for me flawlessly.

It's also had the refurb (unless I am getting my wires crossed) so if you are not in J, row 3 has lots of legroom + power (USB-A).

Yup, the new refurb looks good:
. nice - (faux) leather seats that aren’t isn’t slippery.
… but no locker/wall to hang-up jackets.

There appears to be those tiny coat 'hooks' on the side of the J seats. Can't imagine them ever being used though! Maybe one day the divider and locker will return!
Doubtful as the removal of the locker and divider with this new layout gave VA another row to sell.

As stated by others, the divider from VA 1.0 won't be returning. It'll be a different type of divider that would be applied to VA 2.0, possibly likely one of the "Sky Dividers" (that are common across the US3 domestic/short-haul international fleet) which would allow extra leg room in Row 3.

Having said that, flew in Row 3 on one of the new layouts and was told that I couldn't have my soft laptop bag under 2A...apparently everything in Row 3 needs to go in the overhead :(:(

I've stowed my bag under Row 2 in the new config many times, yesterday included. You'll occasionally get the odd crew member who still insists everything must go up.
