I do like your TRs as they show a lot of Japan off the well trodden tourist destinations. some great places for our next driving holiday after Hokkaido next month.
We though are not Onsen people.

Another great Japan TR from a pro! Now I've had my first trip to Hokkaido, I am determined to be more imaginative next time and will follow in at least some of your footsteps (onsen wet feet steps ...)

That is a shame! Onsen is probably my favourite part of staying in Japan...(to the surprise of no one!)

Me too me too (not the movement!)
ATM I'm thinking about cycling Shimanami Kaido next year....

Well I'm a recreational cyclist at home, mostly do 15-30K per ride.
So 70k split into two days shouldn't be that hard...we shall see!

I'm going in Feb for the snow and onsen and crab, tickets already booked.
Then maybe Nov to do the cycling! This one obviously is just in my head atm.
