Might be a newbie question but in that above screenshot is the 0615 and 1745 the same class if so what is stopping you from ticketing the cheaper (1745) flight rolling up early and requesting a earlier flight?

Only thing would be that the flight is likely to be full!

nothing if your Gold or Platinum. Ive done it. If there is a flight an hour later thats cheaper i usually book it and hope that i can fly next flight. Although with my luck in this experience that flight goes out delayed and in the end i dont save any time or $$$

oz_mark's comment is better IMHO. I thought the same as you and grabbed a BNE-MEL flight for me and +1 where we wanted to be in MEL for the am (AFF DJ Appreciation Run) but booked the far cheaper afternoon flight. It was a Saturday so what's the chances of a sell out? That was until some Irish leprechaun decided to fold his airline just weeks out .......... In the end it all worked out for us, but I can tell you, I was convinced I'd be hitchhiking to MEL to join the team ;).

I love the fly ahead benefits as much as I do family pooling, but be wary, Karma is waiting to bite.

I don't see the point in forcing last-minute pax to take the bundle if they don't want it.

It's not about forcing them to take the bundle. Sure, have a minimum price of $400, but don't call it a Saver!
