I want to book a reward itinerary for my brother. Is he going to need a QFF account?
Cheers.

It would be remiss not to recommend he sign up for a QFF account for free anyway - plenty of ways to earn points for free or with no extra spend, and get on the points bandwagon!

Especially if the other one has a name that needs spelling over the phone and across potential language barriers, then having a QFF account would make things a lot easier.

With the name 'Recently spent 5+ minutes getting the name right on the phone before we could start booking'

Of course, if you book online, that's easy.

Just a reminder for new players. You can't just book for anyone. It has to be on the approved relatives list. Some people have got into trouble
With that being said the relative list is fairly accommodating including not just immediate family members but more distant family such as grand parents and cousins.

I understand why they have the policy, they don’t want points brokers and resellers to game the points system which is a common occurrence in programs like Aeroplan. However, it can be an inconvenience if you want to travel with a friend or colleague.
