Hello everyone

Please bear with me as I'm still new to this forum (and its abbreviations). I'm also new to the business of using points. I should say I only have bronze status.

So, I was able to book 4 economy seats, a family trip, in early January for a trip to Europe this Dec/Jan. The return leg is not quite complete yet, but it will get us back to Australia but not home to Adelaide. My trip looks like: ADL-MEL-DXB on QF, DXB-ATH on EK then LHR-SIN-SYD on BA.

Late last week I saw SIN-MEL-ADL open up on EK and QF. So, I removed SIN-SYD leg of our trip. When time to re-book, SIN-MEL-ADL is gone. Only 3 available seats left. I really wanted to cry after that!

My question is, in your experience, would I still have a chance to book 4 seats for Jan 2017 return leg. Could there be other opportunities come up at a later time? Or is it time for me to panic and just buy the tickets.

I still have 456K of points. Maybe I can be creative with my use of points, but there is so much to read about and I cannot catch up.

Any advice?

To clarify, you currently have everything up to SIN booked? And just need SIN-ADL in some form?

So what day are you looking for? As there were 4 seats available on a few days in Jan.

The booking that I cancelled was on Jan 9. I can only consider jan 9 or 10.

Are you willing to split up? SIN-SYD and SIN-MEL both have at least 2 seats available on the 9th

Thanks for looking, TomVexille. Those are the exact seats I'm looking at. The SIN-SYD, that's the one I gave up. I prefer not to split. You think there would be more seats to be released later on?

Ok, I can stop looking now. Today, I found 4 business class seats for SIN-ADL. My itinerary is complete now.
