Rewards booking - Need some points fast!

I am 5k points short in my account to make a booking. I've transferred 50k points into Velocity from American Express just now but I have no idea how long it will take.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to make up the difference ASAP? Are there any online methods that contribute points straight away?

The call centre guys said there was nothing they could do so I figured I'd ask here.

Any ideas appreciated!

Good points. I guess he just needs to wait for the Amex points to flow through then.

Yep - Was 4,500 or so points short of points+pay. Fortunately they came through and I got the ticket!
