Rewards points Rounding down

has anyone else noticed this?

As owner of a lowly Plat "edge" - the points structure is now "rounded down".

ie.
@ 1pp$ $55.67 --> 55pts
@ 2pp$ $55.67 --> 110pts (not 111 or 112)
@ 3pp$ $55.67 --> 165pts (not 166 or 167 or 168)


I'm sure previously there was either rounding to nearest and then rounding to "balance".

I cant go back any further online than November which is this model but was sure in the past there was alternate rounding etc.

/caveat/

Last time I looked was ages ago (think the Amex promo thread.....)

This started a little while ?1 year ago. There was a thread on AFF about it somewhere. Annoying, i know!

Yes, some of us have been known to try and squeeze that litlle bit extra of petrol into our car ($56.01 in the example above) to get those two extra points.

The rounding down came in some time ago, around about the time all the changes were made to travel insurance etc. Yet another little way in which Amex are degrading their products.
