Yesterday, I think I counted 16 340s in various state of repair/maintenance at Wagga Wagga.

Despite this...I can only assume.they don't even have the routes to maintain so many on the books?

They claimed to have stopped some routes because of lack of airworthy planes. Definitely SYD-ARM. The photos could be the parts yard for the remaining fleet?

The issue with the Rex planes has a lot to do with the engine and spares availability, they share a significant commonality with Apache and Blackhawk engines and the production line is maxed out with delays to upgrading the Helis power plants (2+ years and counting), Rex doesn’t get a look in. Rex wanted to save money by not putting their fleet in a managed engine program with repair SLAs etc, that saving has been eaten up by lack of serviceable units.
