Rex Business Class meals

I see that hotel is owned by the Rex chair, next to Rex HQ. I was trying to work out why a random hotel was preparing airline meals. Makes sense now.

Where do Virgin source their meals from?
I was going to say Coles(slaw) as a joke but not going to because some people might actually believe it🤣🤣
 
Back during covid when they were selling their excess frozen meals, it all came from gate gourmet.
I thought those frozen meals were for other international airlines which had ceased flying in then?
 
We had the ‘new’ menu yesterday… choice of a pea and mint topped shepherd’s pie, or winter vegetable salad with feta. The pie was served with tomato sauce in a tiny glass jar! So fancy! :D
 
Nice lamb on a 8pm MEL-SYD. The Collins MiQ seats on the ex-GOL aircraft aren't bad either.

Have they removed the GOL branding from the interior? (Which would also mean removing the big Air France & KLM logos in front of your seat :p)

As far as I can tell yes. I didn't notice any on VH-8ZL.

Sad to see they have no closet to hang coats on this aircraft though (I assume the ex-VA aircraft do have that?)

The ex VA do, they have retained the purple perspex divider, with coat hangers.

For a while there was a 737, maybe 2?, with some interior with international business class recliners… 45 inch pitch and a generous 9 inch recline. Dunno what’s happened to those.

That would probably be VH-MFM (ex-Samoa Airways)? That aircraft is still in service. It operated MEL-BNE-MEL-CBR-MEL-BNE-MEL today.

As Matt says that would be VH-MFM, which has also had the Collins MIQ seats installed like VH-8ZL.
