AFF'ers,

I'm travelling to Europe in July this year and have managed to squeez in a 3/4 days in Rome with the lady. I'm looking to make it pretty special for the two of us and wondering what your suggestions are in terms of accomadation.

I'm probably going to grab a little apartment for the first couple of nights then make the move to one of the main hotels. What I am asking is, is it worth useing the status that I have and going for one of the chain hotels?

I' currently HH Gold, Accor Plat and PC Plat, the Waldorf Cavalieri is looking the place to be but any help would be appreciated. Budgeting around the $300 Euro mark for the night. A view over Rome would be fantastic too!

Cheers

Accor won't give you anything special i think. Pc may but i haven't had to stay in any Rome pc properties.

The Hilton cav is extensively reviewed over at flyertalk Hilton forum from a status perspective.
