Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

People often don’t read the contract as to what stays and what does not
Over here it's done slightly differently I guess, not sure if you'd consider it part of the contract or not (overall I guess, yes) but there is a specific form TA10 - fitting and contents form; which lists every single item line by line and included/excluded/available at a cost etc. so keeps it nice and clear.

I would have thought a dishwasher was regarded as a fixture/fitting as they have to be installed. I.e would have to stay with the house unless specified otherwise.
washing machines normally go and they are installed. Some people do take the dishwasher and state in contract
I never have (wish I did though as it was 3 years old Miele and good and mine won’t arrive until Aug)

mine won’t arrive until Aug

The looming recession is an ill wind that may blow some good…such as holes in the Miele order book backlog.
The present silliness of motor vehicle values.. indeed many chattel values ...may be about to stabilise

🙏

I ordered a Miele dishwasher in May and it was installed 2 weeks later
I ordered dishwasher March

steam convention oven and plate warmer bought Jan due July🙁

At least I have my oven (and am enjoying going to as many Miele classes as I can for lunch and a good coffee!)

All our Miele stuff for the new build has been delivered Martine, there were a few hiccups and some argy bargy..but all done now.

Absolutely love our Miele steam oven - using it more than the microwave and conventional oven
I bought it from the Miele Outlet. full warranty half price. Was a Miele experience centre demo
Thanks @tgh and @Quickstatus
I heard at my last class exactly that feedback about the steam oven - drying herbs etc is a function I am keen to use. off to the world of steam class soon!

By installed I mean by a tradesperson. A dishwasher needs to be plumbed as opposed to a washing machine which can be screwed onto the tap and have the waste shoved down a hole.

I haven't taken a dishwasher with me when selling, nor have I found one missing when buying.

But of course, YMMV. :)

Replacements don't usually need any new plumbing or even electrics.

The water supply is also screwed on and the drainage is just hose-clamped on. The power is simply a plug in. All that should be there when replacing. For most installations anyway.

But they are awkward to remove and install.

German made Bosch
Not all are German made - like some German cars are not German made.

Mrs QS said never again Bosch. Had terrible troubles with our last dishwasher which was a Bosch - lasted only 3 yes.

The house came with a Simpson dishwasher - it lasted 14 years before we replaced it with the Bosch. Would have gone back to Simpson but they don’t sell dishwasher anymore

Hopefully yours will be reliable

Correct which is why we chose a specific model. The Bosch website indicates the German manufactured ones.

specific form TA10 - fitting and contents form; which lists every single item line by line and included/excluded/available
Over here the front page of contract has a section with tick boxes listing all inclusions

The first house I sold included the wardrobes - but they were not built in. The agent floor plan (not part of the contract) did not show the wardrobes. So the purchaser correctlty assumed wardrobes not fixed but they incorrectly assumed it would not be there when they moved in. They said “vacant possession”, “wardrobe not in agent floor plan” yada yada. I simply said they signed a contract which included the wardrobes…

German manufactured ones.
I discovered after we pulled out the dodgy Bosch that printed on back was made in Turkey. To be clear nothing g wrong with Turkish made but I suspect the design and parts were to a cheaper price point

We have had our Bosch dishwasher for 10 years. Very very happy with it and so much quieter than our previous dishwasher.
