Hi, I'm looking for the best fares available for a trip to the US (california+new york city) and Australia (sydney + domestic flights) - I?ve checked RTW fares and multidestinations fares with major European airlines/groups. Any suggestion? Period: october-december 2012 - thank you xx_

You might want to check the World Walkabout fares out of London on Qantas: the idea is a round-world trip, in either direction, with with 6 stopovers permitted in the US, Australia/New Zealand, and Asia (so New York, LA, and Sydney would be fine). You then add on domestic legs in Australia which are pretty reasonably priced (it's probably a good idea to compare the final fares for the domestic legs to what you'd get by purchasing them separately).

I just priced a LHR-JFK-LAX-SYD-BNE-MEL-LHR fare for November, it comes to £1895 (which probably isn't a "steal", but a start...).
