With the caveat that I haven't yet flown on this configuration, I'd always take Zone A over Zone F (UD).

QF7/8 is about the only guaranteed one at present, and that will change as the aircraft get the refurb!

This is quite interesting. So you are suggesting that on the Sydney Dallas route, if you book a biz class fare you are actually sitting in Qantas First and if you buy premium economy you are sitting in Qantas business?

That was the case in September last year when that was posted; however more of the aircraft have been reconfigured since then and it is more likely than not that a Premium economy ticket will see one sitting in a Premium Economy seat.

I have just made a JASA on QF22 NRT-SYD and have 3AB, for Feb 2013. Seat Map shows 4 rows in cabin.
Assuming that zone A may be refitted with Mk11 seats by then, is row 3 still a better choice than the UD.

blu - I too am booked on QF21/22 in Feb 2013. I haven't had the pleasure to experience Zone A or UD, so I have decided to one seat in each section for my two flights! Fingers crossed for another good season in 2013!

As a lowly OW Ruby, we were very lucky in getting BA Club World UD recently, from LHR. It's highly prized by BAEC members.
(But no pyjamas on BA J.)
Prince Andrew was in First. His security deployment was in front row UD.
