**RUMOR** Qantas (Group) returns to Paris

Just last year, AJ was quoted thus:

Mr Joyce said Qantas would also move quickly to introduce daily flights to Paris if restrictions on its operations were removed.

If QF were to do Australia to CDG, would it be direct or via SIN/HKG? If not direct then would there really be a market for it? I could see a market for the QF Asian hub ferrying passengers on to Paris but not direct from AU.

Why would JQ be able to get daily rights when QF can't? The agreement is between Australia and France, not the airlines.

But could 3K instead of JQ? Or Jetstar Japan when it starts up? Remember whilst JQ and Jetstar (the brand) is owned by Qantas, Jetstar is not in all instances an Australian airline. 3K is a Singaporean carrier.

It looks to have roughly the same range as an A380 or a 777, so I’d imagine SIN would be the ideal stopover point.

Except DFW, EZE/SCL, BNE-LAX was 6/wk for ages, ADL-SIN.

Daily rights aren't essential for a route to "work".

Correct, but 6x per week is better than 3x per week.

Of course ADL-SIN is 3x per week
