I was going to make some joke about The Rolf Harris Lounge for UMs, but I think it's always going to be #TooSoon for those remarks!

That's too bad. It was a nice dark space for a quiet champagne on the way out to the Pier.

Dark and quiet?I found it very bright (and warm) due to the full-height windows and exposure to the sun, and usually very busy... if I'm headed Pierwards, I don't want any detours :)

Last week I spent some time in both The Cabin and The Pier. The former was overcrowded with a rather ordinary food offering. The latter was one of the best lounges I’ve been in for some time.

Hm. If I'd seen this thread sooner, I would have stopped by The Cabin for a quick visit en route to The Pier. Not sure if I'll ever see it now!

...can't claim to have big regrets, though. The Pier is one of my favourite lounges, and I'd been craving dan dan noodles for weeks. ;)

I did the exact same thing a day after you.

Kind of regretting that I may never get to see this lounge, but agree on the Dan Dan noodles, they were great!

Can certainly endorse The Pier as the go to business class lounge at HK. Was there twice in the last month - always a good visit and the Dan Dan Noodles are delicious.

Well, just got this email from the MPO

We are pleased to announce the opening of The Deck, our newest lounge at Hong Kong International Airport in Terminal 1 near gate 16 on 22 March 2018. It will join five other Cathay Pacific departure lounges in Hong Kong to cater for our members and eligible passengers, following the closing of The Cabin lounge near gate 23 on 30 April 2018.

Arrive early and pamper yourself
Following Cathay Pacific's award-winning design concept, The Deck helps you relax, engages your senses, and focuses on your wellbeing. Thoughtful selections of art, music and food are presented in a setting of natural materials, soft lighting and quiet acoustics to create a lounge with the feel of a contemporary home.

Our iconic Noodle Bar will serve popular local favourites, along with a rotating selection of regionally inspired noodle dishes, and there are comfortable chairs and tables on The Terrace, an open-ceiling verandah with panoramic views of the apron, taxiway and northern runway.

Experiencing the lounge
Silver, Gold, and Diamond members enjoy unlimited access to our new lounge experience. Green members can redeem lounge access with their Asia Miles. And members of all tiers who have earned Lounge Passes can use them for themselves or their friends and family members.
