You may disagree but I like the guy. I believe that he has his pilots licence as well so that may mean that its easier for him to access restricted areas (I'm no expert). He get viewers into places we can't go. Sure the airlines suck-up to him but he doesn't obfuscate this.
I reckon is a mini Sam ChuiDennis Bunnick
I don't know if this episode was a manufactured drama. But certainly it has turned into one - but I think only a small one though because it's only in the Taiwanese media and some aviation media. I doubt it would do him any reputational harm. Afterall any publicity is good publicitySome reviewers instead generate interest by manufacturing dramas

I wasn’t referring to this particular episode as a manufactured drama. There’s one other reviewer that always seems to have some form of drama or another.I don't know if this episode was a manufactured drama. Cheers - I'll check that person out. (I've been watching a few from a chap going under the handle Travelog myself. He's reassuringly anonymous.)loungeindex is my favorite in terms of entertainment value, good dry humor from a seasoned traveler. No sponsor cough.
His mother started a small tour company in Adelaide about 30 years ago and it’s grown into a pretty solid business which Dennis now runs. I’ve met him a few times at various functions and events and he really is friendly and willing to chat.I have not heard of Dennis Bunnick. How did he becomes famous?
