Regrettably, you don't know ...it is date dependent ...some may not participate at all.

Here is what you will see when you find one.

Its certainly a surprise sale - surprise if you can actually find a hotel and then a date - seems ridiculous to me.

Every time I've looked into these types of 'deals' from Accor, the 30% is off the full rack rate, and ends up being about the same price as I would get on line anyway.

If my recent experience is anything to go on then the rate does not change much, if at all, during these promotions.

I guess YMMV.

Here is a good example of savings.

September 3rd Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

Accor Plus Sale Rate $149.40
MEMBERS SUPER ADVANCE SAVER $ 179.28
Member Flexible $224.10
Flexible Rate $249.00

Decent?

Same here. I had an "advance rate" booking at the new Sydney Sofitel (Darling Harbour) and compared this FLASH sale rate... exactly what I had paid weeks ago now being advertised as a sale rate.

Booked 2 rooms at Mercure Sydney Airport for $142 each room for 11 October. Thought that was a good rate.

Tried for some bookings at Grand Mercure and Novotel Melbourne but no sale dates for the nights I wanted.

There was a drop down box that showed participating hotels. As expected Sofitel Melbourne not participating but both Sofitel's in Sydney were.

Does the Melbourne Sofitel ever participate?

Had some luck last year but nothing at all this year for Accor promotions. I have even struggled to find Grand Mercure Swanston and Novotel on Collins availability for the 30% and 40% promotions.

Frustrating. But they clearly don't need promos to fill up.

Very frustrating! We go to Melbourne 4 to 6 times a year for a few days R and R and over the last few years have found that hotel rooms in Melbourne have become more expensive compared to elsewhere. Up until this year the Accor promotions softened the blow. Back in May I went down on my own and ended up at the Mercure Swanston and the rate then booking 4 weeks out was around $160 a night.

Waiting for another promotion to book a few nights in Singapore in mid October this year but not holding out much hope. Singapore seems to be like Melbourne. The Novotel and the Sofitel do not need promotions to fill up.
