I received 2 interesting scam emails today and both arrived in my inbox so not detected as scam.
The emails are similar but not identical. Apparently they have my Facebook contacts (not many), phone contact list (I actually don 't have one on this phone) and my entire browsing history. One email says for the past 127 days and the other for the past 134 days.
Both say they have triggered my webcam and have footage of me visiting cough websites. Hahaha. And both have given me 24 hours to purchase USD2000 in Bitcoin and deposit to some Bitcoin address or they will send out the video to 10 random contacts and I should feel ashamed of myself.
Now I laugh when I see these scam emails but both caught my attention as they both highlight they know my password which is a very early version of one of my password formats. I keep AFF, Sportsbet, Ladbrokes and BetEasy logged in at all times using Samsung Internet Browser and my email on Chrome.
Each has a relatively complex password except for AFF. I'm really not happy the way computers, smartphones and businesses have evolved storing tracking cookies on my devices for others to easily obtain access. I don't think I've enabled any sort of security on my Samsung unless there is some default tgat is running. Never had an issue but this latest one worries me a little.
Theyve not mentioned any other passwords so not sure what sort of cookies AFF has kept on my phone. @support any thoughts?
