You must admit that the scammer is very pro-active and up to date with current affairs! Toobin was only sacked by the New Yorker on 11 November for 'exposing himself on Zoom'. You obviously only attract the better class of scammers and not the amateurs that we lower-class people are plagued by.

I got a call indicating that my mobile phone service would be terminated in 2 hrs time, and press 1 to speak to an operator to ensure it would be continued. That was an hour ago, so 1 hr to go, and then no more mobile phone service

BASs (GST, FBT, PAYG etc) are normally quarterly or monthly on 28th of (mostly) the next month; income tax is annual and 28 Oct unless part of a lodgement program

The ATO has been very kind to me and allows me to lodge my BAS annually!! Mind you, GST collections are only around $5k p.a. now that I am largely retired.

Has anyone else received an email like the image below, the below landed in one of my secondary email accounts yesterday and another today. I occasionally look up flights on the OW site what sprung to mind was following:

Furthermore, the real booking was made in May/Jun 19 for travel in Apr 20 and that did not happen.

Looks like an eBay scam is going round. I had 2 phone calls today and others at work have had some as well. They leave a message that an amount will be deducted and if it is not a purchase you made contact them.
A couple of red flags - the first call was from 'Private' - so pretty hard to ring back
Second was an Adelaide number (not real of course) - left the same message.
The voice was electronic and the amount to be taken out was a couple of hundred and ninety nine cents (described in the call as 'point 99'.
