Thing is I would have continued the call a little longer just to find out what the angle was. Was she going to try and get identity details from me or was she going to try and get me to download a link to "fix" my recalcitrant internet service?

My record so far is about 38 minutes. I had time and it was fun to lead them on and see how long it took them to realise the jig was up? Clearly took longer than I expected

Just got a call from a lovely heavily accented lady from Telstra: "Madam how is your internet working at the moment?"
"Wonderful" I reply, "I couldn't be happier with the service ". She then says "well the thing is madam the service technicians are getting lots of error messages and problems with your internet". "Oh dear, that is terrible for them" I said, silence and then she hung up, well how rude! . Thing is I would have continued the call a little longer just to find out what the angle was. Was she going to try and get identity details from me or was she going to try and get me to download a link to "fix" my recalcitrant internet service?

If it’s the standard scam, they get you to install one of those bits of remote-access software, and then they log into your PC and do stuff like accessing all your details after checking whether your net-banking username/password is in the browser’s password-list (ie.in order to transfer money out of your account).

More spam than scam, although I'm sure that there's an element of that too, but I regularly get calls from solar panel companies spruiking deals with VIC gov rebates/subsidies. As soon as I mention that I live in the ACT they just hang up. You'd think they'd take my number off the list to spare the next poor sod the effort.

Rather, it was declared as a personal effect/classified document to either A V O I D diversion by the Shipping Agent or confiscation by the relevant authorities. The diplomat's inability to pay for non-inspection fees, among other things, is the reason why the consignment was delayed and abandoned.

By my assessment, each of the boxes contains $ 5M, which is a total of $10 million US dollars. They still have left in the airport storage facility T O D A Y. The consignments are two metal trunk boxes weighing about 65kg each (Internal dimension: W61 x H156 x D73 (cm) effective capacity: 680 L) Approximately. The details of the consignment, including your name and email on the official document from the United Nations office in London where the shipment was tagged as a personal effects/classified document are still available to us. As it stands n o w, you have to reconfirm your full n a m e, P h o n e number, and full address, so I can cross-check and see if it corresponds with the one on the official documents. It is now left to you to decide if you still need the consignment or allow us to repatriate it back to the UK.
