We have decided to book the scenic eclipse to Antarctica, for a January or February 2025 cruise. We are just waiting on our travel agent to confirm which date. is there any feedback on the eclipse from this group? We also now have the task of getting to Buenos Aires. I have quite a number of virgin points and am thinking of trying to extend our holiday and convert the points to Kris flyer and do a round world star alliance fare, and flying united into Buenos Aires from Houston, given the price of Latam J fares from Australia. Even if we paid for the RTW J fare it would be cheaper than flying return Latam. Any feedback or thoughts would be welcomed. I know it is two years out, but realistically 1 year out if we are looking at reward fares. Thank you in advance.

Nothing to add on the Eclipse but I got an email from Qantas this morning to say Santiago is on sale

We have just now booked with Scenic for the Feb 24 Antarctic circle. We have friends who did that trip on Scenic Eclipse last year and said it was exceptional. So... a second-hand recommendation once-removed, but a recommendation nevertheless and one that we have actioned :)

I had booked with them to cruise South Georgia and Antarctica in 2020. You can imagine how that went.

Not elligible for a refund of our deposit til end 2024 if they are still in business then.

So cruise is fully paid for and we got an upgrade to grand deluxe veranda room just before payment. Now to try and work out how to get to Buenos Aires on points…….
