Schedule change on QR Flight via Qantas Classic Rewards

Just confirming a couple of things;

Did you accept the changes on the Qantas 'manage my booking'? Should always accept changes using the airline you booked through.
If you go to the Finnair website, manage your booking, and go to Passenger Details does it show an eticket number? In the past, for me, the e-ticket number has disappeared from Finnair whilst it was in the queue for reticketing.
If so, is that number the same, or different, to the current e-ticket?
If you add your reservation to the checkmytrip website does it show an e-ticket number?

Every time I've ever had a schedule change I have received a new e-ticket number. That doesn't mean you must have a new number, but my lived experience is it has always been a different number.

At least the e-mail you have received will give you some ammo to get a resolution of QF do screw you. You have clearly done everything you can to ensure the ticket is reissued.
I accepted the changes in Qatar Airways Manage booking. I should've probably used Qantas.

When I go to finnair, it tells me that there is a change in my booking (still showing the delay) but when I check it via Qantas or Qatar, it's showing as confirmed already. Now I'm more worried.

I checked the reservation under checkmytrip and I can see the details including the E-Ticket number. It is the same e-ticket number I received originally (Aprl) and the one just sent to me.

Not specifically for QF, but with other airlines I've found that a ticket doesn't need to be reissued if the only change is to the arrival time. But if the departure time or flight number changes, a new ticket number might be needed.
I sure hope this is the case

This would generally mean that you are good. What happens with a (major) schedule change normally is that the eTicket number disappears until it's reticketed/revalued.

As in your case, it seems quite likely that because it's a minor change, they just needed to revalue keeping the same eTicket number.

The fact that you got a new eTicket from Qantas with issued date today or yesterday with same eTicket number I think is 99.9% sufficient given that you got an Amadeus extract to this effect as well and that this said number now shows up from CheckMyTrip (which sources from Amadeus).

I personally would be satisfied by now that all is in order again (and I was in your situation before!).

Thank you so much. I sure do hope it is the case. Our flight is in December so I hope it is really confirmed.

what is considered a major schedule change? I've just had what the OP describes happen to me: a flight changed from to an earlier time on the same day (from the same departure airport), with no ticket re-issued.

And as luck would have it, the new ticket just came through.

Is this with a new ticket number?

I'd like to give an update, so now our outbound flight had a 5 min change again and Qantas automatically sent a new ticket but I noticed that there is a change in ticket number. As mentioned on original post, when our inbound (return) flight had a 5 min change, the ticket number was the same.

The only difference is that for the outbound flight, the 5 min arrival delay is for the transit country. (A -> B -> C) so in this case, arrival got delayed by 5 mins to B. B-C leg stays the same. New ticket number.

In the inbound flight, the 5 min arrival delay is for the destination country which is 5 mins delayed to C. A-B stays the same. Same ticket number.

Thoughts?

Presumably because B - C is a connection and a minimum connection time needs to be adhered to (and if not due to the change, they need to rebook you). That’s probably why ir got re-ticketed!

Just updating and hope it helps.

We just got back from our trip, no issues with both inbound and outbound (but I was still worried until we were able to check in).

Hope the thread helps people.
Thanks for reporting back - appreciated!
