Schedule Change on SQ J Reward Booking

Today I noticed that there had been a 10 minute schedule change on a reward booking in J on SQ to Europe next year. VA hadn't notified me of this, but it was hugely significant.

It actually made the connect time in SIN illegal, at 40 minutes, which I was very happy with. The original booking had a connect time of 50 minutes (it was the only itinerary available to book), and which I felt was unlikely to be doable (D Gates to A gates).

So I was able to change to a flight departing Australia 9 hours earlier, which gives me a nice buffer in case of delays and removes a lot of worry. Who said schedule changes were not a good thing?

I have a nightmare with velocity redemption on SQ… booked 4 J seats to KIX .. ticketed fine .. SQ changed the flight number only .. times remained .. now Velocity and SQ can’t sync correctly.

So Syd - Sin is showing reserved not confirmed. For 3 months I have been trying to resolve and best advice is SQ have put “notes in check in screen “ and we can fly.

I don’t believe it and still cannot get it fixed. Velocity say it’s ticketed and SQ say it is not

I’ve had a similar thing happen to me. SQ app showing reserved VA showing ticketed. On the day of travel
I checked in an it all synced, no issues.

That’s what I am hoping for however checking in at 4.30am with no support available may be interesting

Was J rewards space available on the new flight? Or was VA able to transfer you across to the new flight by booking into a cash fare or somehow have SQ open up inventory on the new flight?

Yes reward J space was available on the new flight.

I'm not sure that the change could have been made otherwise, but obviously something would have to be done as it was SQ's schedule change that caused the problem. Perhaps just a refund?
