*All advertised Scoot fares comprise the price of the air ticket, associated taxes and surcharges only. Fares, taxes and surcharges are subject to change due to currency fluctuations. Advertised fares are available from 0700hrs (GMT+10) on 16th October 2012 to 0700hrs (GMT+10) on 17th October 2012, or until seats sell out. Fly fares are for one-way travel in economy class out of the Gold Coast. Checked baggage, food and inflight entertainment are not included. Fares are available for travel between 1st November 2012 to 9th November 2012, and 21st January 2013 to 6th February 2013. Blackout periods apply during school holidays and event periods. A credit card fee from AUD9.00 per guest segment is not included in the price. Fares exclude optional charges, such as service fees that may be levied for buying tickets at ticket offices, travel agencies or by telephone. This offer is subject to availability and confirmation. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or all dates. Bookings are not refundable except as provided in the Conditions of Carriage.

That and the business class specials are better in value as well as validity, $400 extra but worth it.

To me, for day flights it isn't too bad in Y. And the $400 saved I can eat alot of chilli crabs in SIN

Scoot = 17 inches / 43 cm seat width...
Air Asia = 16.5 inches / 42cm seat width...

Anything that's better than AAX has to be a good thing. AAX is the absolute pits IMHO. They are really squeezing blood out of their pax. And who really wants to go to KUL?

Anyway, booked my $99 TZ OOL-SIN ticket this morning. Hard to beat. Then off into the wide blue yonder on EK...

A child fare is only $44. For some reason they don't pay Govt. Imposed Pax Movement Fee...

so far i have booked both but then managed to avoid taking the flights in the end - both carriers are far more useful for forcing sale fares on the legacy carriers than actually flying them
